A few tips for the 27 Jan. 2008 interview by boh tong.

Its do or die for those going for the SIA cabin crew interview on 27 January 2007 at the Sheraton Towers Singapore Hotel,2nd Level – Ballroom, 239 Scotts Road,Singapore 228230.
Here are a couple of tips to help you pass the interviews.

  • Don't forget to wear that nice sincere smile.
  • Wear light colour clothing and if you are a male, wear a matching necktie.Ladies should try and wear business suits.
  • Stand upright and do not hunch.
  • If you are a smoker, get rid of that smoker's odour ( gurgle with Listerine 3x a day for a few days before the interview and it would also help you rid yourself off bad breath if you are having them) because most interviewers cannot stand the smoker's odour.
  • Ladies put on suitable make-up and for male don't for Pete sake wear any make up even if you are a gay.
  • When you are asked to read a passage in front of the interviewers and other applicants don't ever speak Singlish. Speak proper English( do not have to speak like a native English or American),pronounce your words clearly and be calm. Please smile as you read because that's when the interviewers will be appraising you.
  • If you have to introduce yourself do it with a pleasant smile and once a while have eye contact with your interviewers.
  • Always end the interview with a sincere nice "thank you sir or madam" which ever the case is.
  • Behave yourself and do not chatter or talk loudly outside the interview rooms.
  • Switch off your mobile phones.

I will come back with more tips if I can recall them and if I do not then all the best to you all.
