SYSTEMS ENGINEER - ATC placed on: 11/10/2007
UNITED KINGDOM, HAMPSHIRE
£300 - £450 PER DAY
We are looking for 2 Senior Systems Engineer from a Radar (ground) or Air Traffic Control background.
Candidates must have intimate knowledge of at least one of the following ATC areas:-
- Instrument Landing Systems (ILS) to Category III
- Distance Measuring Equipment (DME)
- Non-Directional Beacons (NDB)
- Controller Displays and Meteorological Systems (MET)
- Telecommunications (incl Fibre Optics).
- Candidates will be required to work under the direction of, and report to, the project Systems Design Authority (SDA).
- Understanding the criticality of the project (including its time constraints).
- Understanding the procedures likely to be applied by the CAA's Safety Regulation Group (SRG) to each of the systems being offered as a solution.
- Have knowledge and understanding of COTS (commercial off-the-shelf solution) airport systems, embedded or operational software, hardware and interfaces.
- Be a team player.
Candidates must:
- Be self-starters.
- Know and be able to use efficiently MS Office products.
Qualifications:
- Chartered or Incorporated Engineer (CEng or IEng).
- BSc or BEng Degree, possibly HND.
- Airport Engineering or Airport Systems Background.
